Alan Halliday is an alumnus of the Courtauld Institute of Art (1970-74). He studied for two degrees in the history of art there prior to moving to St. John’s College at Oxford University where he was awarded a doctorate in 1982. Earlier this year, he was approached by the Courtauld Trust and asked to provide an image for this year’s Courtauld Christmas Card. The painting chosen was ‘Richmond Park under Snow’.
If you would like to purchase the Alan Halliday Courtauld Christmas Card in packs of ten including envelopes, please follow this link. All monies go to the Courtauld Trust.
To advertise the Christmas card to other Courtauld alumni, Alan Halliday has provided a series of interesting and often illuminating answers to a penetrating questionnaire on his years as a student at the Courtauld Institute of Art, put to him by fellow alumnus Rex Harley who was at the Courtauld at the same time as Halliday in the early 1970s.
